GERARDO IACOUCCI’s Urbanistica is one of the most elusive LP from the very sought after OCTOPUS series. Released in 1971 as a non-commercial album of background music specially recorded for cinema, radio and television, URBANISTICA is now come back to life in a special 180gr limited edition of 500 copies. Gerardo Iacoucci is one of the men behind FLIPPER’s sound scene, also known for L’AVVENTURA and SIMBOLISMO PSICHEDELICO (both published for DENEB label), but this is definitively his grooviest record, totally psych-beat, with jazzy-breaks, killer hammond, stunning drums and soul-jazz brass section.

Fantabulous
After GLI ARCANGELI, but before GUNGALA and L’UOMO DAGLI OCCHIALI A SPECCHIO, italian Master Sandro Brugnolini composed the soundtrack for FANTABULOUS, a stunning pop movie inspired by
the world of comics, superheroes and secret agents, directed by Sergio Spina in 1967. The music is a mixture of jazz, mod sounds and psych-beat, where Brugnolini adapts his jazz leanings to the new musical fashions of the day: soul, R&B and psychedelia. This soundtrack was from ever almost officially out of print, languishing up to now in the deepest reaches of obscurity, much sought-after both for the elusive BEAT Records 7”, published at the time to promote the two songs in the film, but even more so for the original LP, a real ghost-album which never appeared anywhere or anytime. The Four Flies issue for the first time reconstructs this incredible soundtrack in its entirety, thanks to a meticulous restoration work obtained from two different master tapes kept in the personal archives of Brugnolini himself and BEAT Records. Also included is the 7” with two alternative mix (never before published anywhere) of the tracks performed by Gepy: a real treat for soul and R&B DJs all over the world.FANTABULOUS – LA DONNA, IL SESSO, IL SUPERUOMO – Italy, 1968. Directed by Sergio Spina; subject and screenplay: Furio Colombo, Ottavio Jemma, Sergio Spina. Starring: Richard Harrison, Adolfo Celi, Judi West, Nino Fuscagni, Enzo Fieramonte, Gustavo D’Arpe; Production: Summa Cinematografica, Procinex, Pari

COME SVALIGIAMMO LA BANCA D’ITALIA
The scat-jazz beat masterpiece of one of the most brilliant but overlooked soundtrack masters of popular Italian cinema, M° Lallo Gori, composed for a wild spy-movie parody directed by the legendary Lucio Fulci. An outstanding soundtrack, never before released on any format, recovered and remastered from the original master tapes, boasting the invaluable contribution by I CANTORI MODERNI di ALESSANDRONI: their vocal presence contribute massively towards making the whole magnificent soundtrack a delicious and flawless exemplary of Italian cinematic sound of the mid-60s. A Swingin’ Rome style, featuring GINO MARINACCI on flute.
Laure
Out of all FRANCO MICALIZZI’s soundtracks, this is the Holy Grail! The criminal domain usually occupied by the master in his famous police thrillers has been left behind. In Laure, also known as Forever Emanuelle, the territory explored is purely exotic/erotic: unadulterated Italian cinematic trip-hop, with the sensual vocals of BABA YAGA, the phenomenal percussion of TONY ESPOSITO, the clavinet and fender rhodes of ENRICO PIERANUNZI. One of the most controversial films produced in Italy in the 1970s also hides one of the most surprising and original soundtracks ever completed in that period. Published in 1976 on RCA SP label, the record has been a joy and torment for whole generations of collectors, one of the most elusive of the series. Now, finally, remastered from the original master tapes preserved from the RCA archives, Laure can spin once again.
LA POLIZIOTTA
A dream that has become reality: one of the best and among the most sought after soundtracks by GIANNI FERRIO finally comes back to life in LP form. The original record has always been one of the rarest of the entire cult RCA SP series, considered an absolute must-have for the Italian groove hunters of the day: Jazz-funk texture with touches of blaxploitation, b-boy breaks, flipped out hammond, flashes of bossa and the vocal stylings of the unmistakable EDDA DELL’ORSO. The Four Flies issue, remastered from tapes of the original recording sessions, also contains two unexpected alternate takes never before released on vinyl.
